This Meditation is for self-identifying BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color). We slow down, take a moment to pause, then BREATHE returning to our true Essence. This space is created to build community, heal, and empower.
During this meditation practice, we will engage in Mindfulness, Focus, Open Heart, and Quiet Mind Meditation styles. We will also discuss both formal and informal meditation practices to use while peacefully protesting to regulate the nervous system. We will discuss the impact of generational trauma and the importance of regulating the nervous system to ameliorate immune system functioning.
You will learn scientifically proven skills to enhance focus, reduce stress and anxiety, and strengthen the physical brain for long-term health and well-being.
ProCure BIPOC
ProCure BIPOC is an initiative designed to confront generational trauma and social injustice while empowering people of color to find sustainable holistic health and wellness.
ProCure BIPOC is a Program of ProCure Agency, Inc. initiated to help the Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) community in Charlotte, North Carolina prioritize mental health and wellness and experience lasting healing. We offer accessible and affordable mindfulness, meditation, and brain health education and support focused on bringing healing to the Black Community through an array of in-person and virtual therapeutic services. Our community continues to experience the impact of generational trauma and social injustice in the 21st century, all while the stigma around mental health persists among people of color. ProCure BIPOC was founded by Licensed Clinical Social Worker Deona Frierson to shatter the stigma and help people experience lasting healing, wellness, and wholeness through holistic mental health services. Our focus allows us to be sensitive to the unique challenges of America’s black and brown communities while harnessing the power of cutting-edge mental health and wellness therapies to restore balance to our spirits, souls, and bodies.
